We're all mad here
On May 19, 1962, Marilyn Monroe sang the sultry, seductive version of ‘Happy Birthday’ to president John F. Kennedy. Marilyn was under serious fire at 20th Century Fox for not reporting to the set, as she had only reported a few days to film ‘Something’s Got to Give’ (her final film that was never finished). To the studio, it was as if singing to the president was higher on her agenda. Marilyn didn’t miss an opportunity to prepare. Everything needed to be perfect to show the world (and the Kennedys) that she was worth their attention.
